USERS Changes

If the USERS value changes, you must also change the SEMMNS, SEMMNU, and SEMMSL kernel parameters using the following formulas.

SEMMNS = USERS * Number of database engines + 25

SEMMNU >= SEMMNS

SEMMSL = SEMMNS

Note:

For RS/6000 machines, semaphore parameters do not apply. For the HP 9000 UX, this change to SEMMSL does not apply.

The number of database engines referenced in the formula for SEMMNS includes even those not being used by the Lawson applications. Add one for each Lawson and RDBMS engine.
