Editor Default Function Keys
The following table describes the default Editor function key and control key settings.
Press | To |
---|---|
Clear | Clear information highlighted by the light bar from the cursor position to the end of the field, window, or detail line. Press Shift+Clear (F3) to clear the area from the cursor position to the bottom of the form or window. |
Define | Define various objects (for example, key numbers, forms, and so on). On some online forms, pressing Define (F6) transfers you to a maintenance form where you can add a record. |
Delete | Delete a line or object (for example, a key number). If you mark a line or object, Delete (F9) deletes the marked lines or objects. |
DelLin | Delete the line the cursor is on. |
DelMrk | Delete a marked area. |
Detail | Display detail information about an object. For more information, see Getting Started with the Lawson Interface Desktop (LID). |
Edit | Change an object or change the display attributes (for example, highlight, underline, and so on) of an object. For more information, see Getting Started with the Lawson Interface Desktop (LID). |
Find |
Open the Find window. For more information, see Getting Started with the Lawson Interface Desktop (LID). Press Shift+Find to display the Replace window. This window lets you replace the character string searched for with another character string. |
Help | Display online help for an object. For more information, see Getting Started with the Lawson Interface Desktop (LID). |
Home | Move the cursor to the top of the area (form, window, or list) it is on. In some forms or windows, Shift+Home (F10) moves the cursor to the bottom of the area it is on. |
Info |
Displays information about the current file, current directory, working directory, and shows a message:
If no changes were made to the file since it was opened, [modified] does not display. The variable n is replaced by the line number the cursor is on, the total number of lines in the file, and the percentage of the file that has been viewed. |
Insert |
Insert a blank line above the cursor and move the following lines down one line. - or - Open the Insert Menu. For more information, see Using the Insert Menu. |
InsLin | Insert a blank line above the cursor. |
Next | Find the next item in the active form or window that matches the search string typed in the Find window (see Find). Pressing Shift+FndNxt (F3) finds the previous item that matches the search string. |
OK | Save and close the current file or save the changes and proceed to the next step. |
Open |
Display the Open File window. This window lets you access up to four other files to view or edit in separate windows on the same form. For more information, see Working with Files in the Editor. Press Shift+Open to display the Change File window. This window lets you place a second file in the window in which the initial file was displayed. |
Select | Display all valid values for a field and select a value. For more information, see Getting Started with the Lawson Interface Desktop (LID). |
Shift | Shift any marked area one tab-length to the right. |
Show | View form data in different ways, or view related data. For more information, see Getting Started with the Lawson Interface Desktop (LID). |
Alt+C | Copy the marked region. |
Alt+M | Move the marked region. |
Insert | Turn overtype mode on or off. |
Delete | Delete a character, line, or marked region. |
