Replacing the Open File

You can close an open file and open a new file with one command. The operation affects the window where the cursor is located (the active window).

  1. Save the current open file, if desired.
  2. Press Shift+File (Shift+F4). If you are using the lx (text) editor, the Replace File in Current Window form appears. If you are using the led (4GL) editor, the Open menu for the selected program appears. Follow the instructions in Accessing the Lawson Editoror Accessing the 4GL Editor.
  3. Select a file.
  4. Press OK. The current file closes, and the file you chose appears in the current Editor window.
