Using Edit Functions

The Edit menu provides text editing functions, such as Cut and Paste, and special functions for editing Lawson 4GL source code.

  1. Highlight (mark) the text you want to edit.
  2. Press Edit (F5).
  3. Select the desired edit function.
    Choose To
    Undo Reverse the last operation you performed.
    Cut Remove the marked (highlighted) information from the file and place it on the Lawson clipboard.
    Copy Copy the marked (highlighted) information to the Lawson clipboard. The file is not changed.
    Paste Paste the information currently stored on the Lawson clipboard into the file at the cursor.
    Go to Open the Go to menu.
    Shift Open the Shift menu.
    Block Open the Block menu.
  4. Press OK.
