Disabling the Ability to Create Favorites

By default, users can create favorites to Lawson and non-Lawson URLs that will appear in the navigation pane of their workspaces. You might want to prevent this capability if, for example, you want to ensure the users' workspaces are being used only for accessing Lawson products.

To access the Favorites tab in User Options, go to the Preferences drop-down and select User Options. If you do not have access to the Preferences drop-down but are able to access the Favorites tab, you can manage your items using the Manage Favorites option.

To disable favorites

  1. From the Role Manager General tab, clear the Allow use of favorites check box.
  2. Click OK.
    To disable specific favorites categories, clear the the options under Allow use of favorites.
    For example, to disable users from creating favorites to custom forms and custom pages, clear the corresponding options.
