Infor Lawson Application Server

The Infor Lawson Application Server (latm) controls online form transactions between the Infor Lawson user interface and your business database. If your user interface is the Lawson Portal the transactions go through Internet Object Services and then to the Infor Lawson Application Server (latm). If your administrators sometimes use the Infor Lawson Interface Desktop (LID) as a user interface, the transactions in that case go through the Infor Lawson presentation manager (lapm) and then to the Infor Lawson Application Server.

latm.cfg file

This file controls operation of the Infor Lawson Application Server (latm). The setting for each parameter in this file directly impacts performance. The Infor Lawson settings are the default shipped settings. Changes take effect after you run a stoplatm and startlatm, stop and start the Infor Lawson system (all servers), or use the tmcontrol utility with the -rc option.

latm.log file

The latm.log file contains messages from the Infor Lawson Application Server and is found in $LAWDIR/system. The kinds of messages found in the latm.log file include:

  • Version of the server

  • Who started or stopped the server, and when

  • Timestamp error messages

  • CPU statistics

  • Processing statistics

The processing statistics found in the latm.log files relate to lapm processes and online application processes.
