Deleting (or changing) an endpoint

Because endpoints cannot be modified, you can also use this procedure if you need to change the configuration for an endpoint. To modify an endpoint, you must delete it and then re-add.

If an endpoint that needs to be deleted has already been assigned to a group, you can automatically remove the endpoint from the group when you delete it.

  1. If you are currently running the ssoconfig utility, continue with step 2.

    - or -

If you are not currently running the ssoconfig utility:

    1. From a command prompt, specify

      ssoconfig -c

    2. At the prompt, specify the password for the ssoconfig utility.
  2. From the main menu of ssoconfig, choose "9, Manage Lawson HTTP Endpoints."
  3. From the submenu that appears, select "3, Delete existing HTTP Endpoint."
    1. At the prompt, "Lawson HTTP Endpoint FQDN," specify the fully qualified domain name of the endpoint you want to delete. For example, if you want to delete a server named "ws1" and your domain is "mydomain," you would specify:

      ws1.mydomain.com

      and then press Enter.

    2. At the prompt, "Lawson HTTP Endpoint HTTP Port," specify the number of the port that will be used for HTTP communication. Press Enter after you specify the port number.
    3. At the prompt, "Lawson HTTP Endpoint HTTPS Port," specify the number of the port that will be used for HTTPS communication. Press Enter after you specify the port number. (If you are not using HTTPS, just press Enter to accept the default of "-1".)
    4. If the endpoint is already assigned to a group, you will receive the message, "The HTTP Endpoint you are trying to remove is in use. Are you sure you want to delete it?" Specify "yes" (not case-sensitive) to confirm the delete.

You will receive the message, "HTTP Endpoint successfully deleted."

    5. You will return to the submenu. If you need to delete other endpoints, select "3" again and then perform steps 3a-d for all other endpoints.
  4. When you are finished deleting endpoints, press "8, Back" to return to the main menu or "9, Exit" to exit the ssoconfig utility.
