Editing a Menu

You can edit menu titles, option titles, the number of columns on the menu display, or the title on the midrange transfer menu.

  1. Access the Form ID Definition utility (tokendef):
    • From the System Administration menu, choose Form Definition.

      - or -

    • At the command line, type:

      tokendef

  2. On the Form ID Definition menu, select Menu IDs.
  3. On the Menu Form form, select a product line.
  4. In the detail area of the Menu Form form, highlight the desired menu ID, or press Show (F7) and choose to see sub menus and then highlight the desired sub menu ID.
  5. After you have highlighted the menu ID to work with, press Define (F6). If you selected a main menu or sub menu, Define (F6) shows a list of the menu options for the selected menu ID. If you selected an item that is not a menu or sub menu, Define (F6) lists three options: Executable, Menu, Text.
    • Choose Executable to edit the program that the menu option points to.

    • Choose Menu to edit the menu ID the menu option points to.

    • Choose Text, if the menu option is a text entry, to edit the text.

  6. Optional. To change the menu title or option title, highlight a menu option, press Edit (F7), and choose from the following edit options.

    Change the title of the menu and the application title on the Application Form IDs form.

    This option does not change the program name defined during Program Definition.

    Option Title

    Change the title of a menu option. You must select the option you want to change before you press Edit (F7).

    Note: This option is not available for transfer menus.

    This option does not change the program name defined during Program Definition.

    Number of Columns

    Change the option display on the menu from a single column to a double column, and vice versa.

    To change the number of columns from two to one, column two must be empty.

    This option does not affect the display of menus in the Lawson Portal or the graphical user interface mode of the Infor Lawson Interface Desktop (LID).

  7. Press Enter twice to save the changes.
