Assigning Batch Programs to Cluster Nodes

This procedure enables you to set up individual batch programs for use in a distributed batch processing system. When you assign a batch program to a node in the network cluster, you determine what node will process any job step that uses that batch program. This enables you to distribute the processing of batch programs to a number of nodes. If you do not assign a batch program to a node, any job step that uses that batch program will be run on the node designated as the master batch server.

You can perform this procedure from any node in the network cluster. You perform this procedure through the Form ID Definition utility (tokendef).

To assign a batch program to a cluster node

  1. Log into a Lawson Interface Desktop (LID) session on any node in the cluster.
  2. From the System Administration menu, select Form Definition.
