Job and Report Setup Overview

This chapter provides an overview of the major concepts and procedures for setting up and managing jobs and reports. These include the following:

  • Managing the Lawson Batch Server

  • Setting up Environment resources, including job queues, printer, and Environment groups

  • Defining jobs

  • Managing print files

This manual does not describe any reporting or query tools and applications available through Lawson. It only describes how to define, run, and manage such delivered reports and batch job programs as Payroll Close (PR197), Employee Listing (HR211), and Period Closing (GL199).
