Defining Job Queue Groups
Use these procedures to work with job queue groups. There are procedures for defining job queue groups, deleting job queue groups, and viewing job queue group information.
After you have set up job queue groups, you can assign them to the user in the Environment Information screen of the Lawson Security Administrator. A user's job queue group only affects which job queues are visible when the user submits a job as an administrator in the Lawson Interface Desktop (LID). You control access to job queues by individual job queue in the Lawson Security Administrator, but not by job queue groups.
When you delete a job queue group, you delete access to the job queues through that job queue group, but you do not delete the job queues within the job queue group. When you run the Job Queue Group Report, you can list which job queues belong to which job queue groups, and which users a job queue group is assigned to.
You must define job queues before you can create a job queue group.
