The Job Inquiry utility

The Job Inquiry utility (jobinq) displays the batch jobs defined for a specific user or for all users. You can also display the jobs for a specific data area, for all data areas, or for a specific data area and form. Jobs are listed with their job name and description to help you identify job parameters. For multiple-step jobs, each step is listed.

In addition to inquiring on the details of a job definition, you can submit and delete jobs from the Job Inquiry utility (jobinq) and you can transfer to the Job Definition utility (jobdef).

Job Inquiry Function Keys

These function keys are available after you select a job:

Key Description
Detail (F5) Displays job-related information about the selected job.
Submit (F6) Opens the Job Submission window, where you can submit the job.
JobDef (F7) Opens the Job Definition utility, where you can define a new job.
Delete (F9) Deletes the selected job. If you select any of the steps listed for a multiple-step job and press Delete (F9), the entire job is deleted, not just the step.
