Assigning printer groups to Lawson Portal users

Use this procedure to assign printer groups to Lawson Portal users. Printer groups must be assigned to Lawson Portal users if you want to be able to set up distribution groups that include sending a report or print file to one of the printers in the user's printer group. Without assigning a printer group, you can only make reports or print files available to other users through the Print Manager.

This procedure assumes you have created users, defined printers, and defined printer groups.

  1. In the Lawson Security Administrator, navigate to User Maintenance and perform an inquiry for users.
  2. Right-click on the user you need you need to assign a printer group to and select Edit Lawson Environment Information.
  3. On the Modify Lawson Environment Information screen, select a printer group for the user in the Printer Group field.
  4. On the Edit menu, click Change.
