Environment Interface

Environment software performs standard routines used by application programs. Environment software performs many procedures, eliminating the need to code them, such as

• editing and formatting form fields,

• form transfers,

• formatting report fields,

• processing error messages, and

• building the program shell.

Some of these features require parameters, which are covered in the section that discusses the program segment to which they pertain.
