$SUBGRP/$ENDSUB

$SUBGRP GroupName

$ENDSUB GroupName

The $SUBGRP/$ENDSUB command pair defines the beginning and ending of a subgroup definition in a report format ($FORMAT), and it names the subgroup. You can define one or more subgroups in a report format.

A subgroup functions like a group and takes any group command, except $PGBRK. Except for $PGBRK, all commands not explicitly specified in the subgroup default from the group definition. Only the subgroup that starts at the beginning of the group format takes the $PGBRK command default.

You can use the following commands in a $SUBGRP definition.

  • $DELAY

  • $PGBRKGRP

  • $FSTDOLLAR

  • $PREFIX

  • $FSTPERCENT

  • $RPTGRP

  • $LEVEL

  • $STDFTR

  • $LINECNT

  • $STDHDR

  • $NOTEXTDUPS

  • $TOTOFGRP

  • $PGBRK
