Selecting a Form Action for a Menu Option

For online application forms, you can select an action for the system to put in the form action field when transfer is made to that form.

  1. On the desired menu, select the application for which you want the system to perform an action after transfer, press Define (F6), and choose Action.
    Note: You can select actions only for online application forms. If you select a batch application form or a nonapplication form ID, you cannot choose Action.
  2. Choose one of the following options.
    Choose To
    Inquire Perform an Inquiry action on this application form when transfer is made.
    Next Perform a Next action on this application form when transfer is made.
    Blank Transfer to the form without performing an action.
  3. The system saves the changes and displays a message showing the action that you chose for the selected menu option.

    For example, if you choose Inquire, the system displays the message, "Application Executable (Inquire)."

  4. Press OK twice to save the menu.
  5. Press Exit to return to the form from which you accessed the menu.
