Painting a Detail Form

A detail form lets you access or maintain more than one record at a time. On a detail form, all detail lines are identical (that is, they have the same fields, text, and spacing). The following instructions are for painting file-detail and header-detail forms. To paint a header-detail form, first select the detail files. For instructions, see Defining a Detail file.

To paint a detail form

  1. On the Format form, paint the header fields in the header area.
  2. Put the cursor at the top of the area you want as the detail area and press Mark.
  3. Move the cursor down as many lines as needed for the detail area and press Bound.

    A solid vertical line appears.
