Selecting Fields for Work File Records
You can select fields individually, or you can copy a Lawson Software database file definition. Fields are written to a work file record in the order in which they appear on the form.
To select fields for the work file
In the field name list on the Work File Definition
form, press Define (F6) and choose
Copy File.
The system copies the database file fields to the detail area on the Work File Definition form.
Note: You can copy from the upper window or the detail area.
If you copy from the detail area, the detail line on which you press Define (F6) cannot be blank.

| Occurs | The number of times an array field occurs. |

Alpha, Numeric, Signed, Binary, yymmdd, ccyymmdd, Telephone, or Double. Note: The type yymmdd is not allowed for backward compatibility.
Fields are not allowed to use this data type unless they are already
set to it.

The size of the field. Note: The size
of a yymmdd field defaults to 6,
and the size of a ccyymmdd field
defaults to 8. The system calculates group field size by adding
the sizes of the fields within the group.
