Updating the configuration file

To run the EAR Deployment automation tool you must add values to the configuration file.

Update the configuration file

  1. Navigate to $LAWDIR/system.
  2. With a text editor, open the WASMasterConfig.cfg file.
  3. Under Common Configurations, specify this information:
    Note: Specify a value for either WAS_CLUSTER_NAME or WAS_SERVER_NAME. Values in both will result in an error.
    WAS_CLUSTER_NAME

    Specify a name the WebSphere Cluster.

    WAS_SERVER_NAME

    Specify a name for the WebSphere server.

    WAS_DMGR_NAME

    Specify the WebSphere Deployment Manager name.

  4. Under EAR File Deployment, specify this information:
    WAS_WEB_SERVER_NAME

    Specify the WebSphere web server name.

    WAS_HOST_NAME

    Specify the WebSphere virtual host name.

    WAS_VALIDATE_INSTALL_FLAG

    The default is warn.

    IOS_APP_NAME

    Specify the name for IOS application.

    IOS_SERVICE_APP_NAME

    Specify the name for the IOS Service application.

    BPM_APP_NAME

    Specify the name of the BPM application.

    LAWSEC_APP_NAME

    Specify the name for the LAWSEC application.

    Note:  Application_Name specifies the name of the installed or deployed application. Application names must be unique within a cell.

    Use the following example to update your WASMasterConfig.cfg file.

    #The IOS cache refresh for clusters feature now comes in a separate ios-services EAR file.

  5. Save and close the file. Do not move the file or rename it.
