Running the automation script

Use the procedures to run the script to install, uninstall, update, and reinstall EAR files.

For vertically-scaled configurations using a cluster and IOS cache refresh, the script will automatically process the IOS-clusterservices.ear file. For more information on cluster setup, see Manual Cluster Setup and IOS Cache Refresh.

Note: If you connect to WebSphere with a user name and password, you will need to provide those values.

For example:

To install with WebSphere credentials:

perl deployEarUtil.pl -us WAS_username -pa WAS_password -ta install -pr All

To install without WebSphere credentials:

perl deployEarUtil.pl -ta install -pr All

Use the steps below to run the Cluster Setup script.

  1. To set your Lawson environment variables and path, execute a .cv command to move into the Environment. At the command prompt, type:

    . cv LawsonEnvironmentName

  2. Run this command to set the environment variable WAS_HOME:

    export WAS_HOME=

    For example, export WAS_HOME=/usr/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer
