Log in to your system

  1. Open an X-Windows terminal session and set appropriate display variables.

    Open the UNIX console.

  2. Log in to your system as root.
  3. Set umask to 0.
  4. Set the lawson group to be the root user's primary group.

    Type newgrp lawson

    This sets the root user's primary group to lawson for this session only.
