Set the total transaction lifetime timeout in WebSphere

  1. Log into the WebSphere Administrative Console.
  2. Click Servers > Server Types.
  3. Click WebSphere application servers.
  4. From the Container Settings panel, expand the Container Services option.
  5. Adjust the 'Total transaction lifetime timeout' and 'Maximum transaction timeout' to the longest expected amount of time required for a CGI/Profile/SysEnv/FileManager call to run and return back a response.
  6. Click Apply and Save.
  7. Restart the application server.
