Preparing for Updating the Infor System Console

Before you run the installation/update programs for Infor System Console server-side component and user interface component, you must perform the following tasks:

• If you are planning to switch from a Derby database to an RDBMS database for the Infor System Console, meet the requirements in Use of an RDBMS with the Infor System Console.
• Download updated installation files.
• Log in to your system.
• Set the environment variables.
• If you previously were running Infor System Console 10.0.1.0 or lower, uninstall the lsmm.ear file.
• Stop the application server for the Infor System Console.
• Ensure the Derby network server is running (if you plan to continue using the Derby database).
