System Diagnostics

Tab option Description
CPU
Displays a line graph of CPU usage. This function depends on the CollectData alert, which must be enabled for data collection. The graph presents both the Total Combined Time and the Total User Time. Dates with data collection turned off will not be represented on the line graph, instead an alert message will be displayed on the page, indicating data collection was turned off.
Note: Not available on IBM i systems.
  • Beginning Date field

Input your beginning date of diagnostics to display.

  • End Date field

Input your end date of diagnostics to display.

In CPU, the information that is displayed for Resource Utilization in the graph depends on the selected date range:

    • Previous day - displays the collected Resource Utilizations data per hour.

    • X no. of days - displays the daily Resource Utilization data.

    • A month - displays the daily Resource Utilization data.

    • X no. of months - displays the Resource Utilization data per week.

    • A year - displays the Resource Utilization data per month.

    • X no. of years - displays the Resource Utilization data for every year.

  • Default Graph

Displays a graph using the data collected from the previous day with respect to the current system date.

Memory
Displays a line graph of memory usage. This function depends on the CollectData alert, which must be enabled for data collection. The graph shows the data for both Used Swap and Used Memory. Dates with data collection turned off will not be represented on the line graph, instead an alert message will be displayed on the page, indicating data collection was turned off.

OS User Sessions

Identifies the number of users with operating system IDs who are currently accessing the system. You can perform searches of the Users list using these filter options:

  • User

Lists all users with active or previous sessions.

  • Host

Lists servers accessed by the user.

  • Device

Displays the specific device that user has accessed in a particular host.

  • Time

Displays the date and time that user logged in to the system.

Processes

Displays details about processes, including ID number, user, start date or time (if less than 24 hours have elapsed, then the elapsed time appears), and memory used. You can search and filter the list of Processes using these filter options:

  • ProcName

  • User

  • PID

  • PTime

  • CTime

  • Mem

  • ShMem

  • State

For the ShMem (Shared Memory) column, a dash indicates that shared memory is not being used. The State column displays an "R" to indicate that the process is in a Ready state.

Database Users

Displays details about the current database users. You can search and filter the list of database users with these filter options:

  • PID

Lists all Process IDs that are currently using the database.

  • Data area

Lists the database that is currently operating.

  • Command

Lists what command is running on the server.
