Configuring a single LASE server

If your system is LSF only or federated with LSF and Landmark, follow these steps for configuring User Monitoring.

  1. From the main ssoconfig menu, select Manage Security Servers.
  2. From the next menu, select Change Security Server.
  3. At the prompt Enter Server Instance Name, type DEFAULT as the Server Instance Name.
  4. At the prompt Enter Server Host, specify the name of the machine that will host the server in the appropriate format for your system. For example, MyServer.MyDomain.com.
  5. At the prompt Enter Server Port, press Enter to accept the default value.
  6. At the prompt Enter Server SSL Port, press Enter to accept the default value.
  7. At the prompt, "Enter server roles", type the following depending on your situation. Make sure that you type the words exactly as shown:
    • If you are in a federated configuration, type DEFAULT,FEDERATION,USERMONITORING

    A success message telling you that server was created appears.

  8. At the prompt Enter New Server-side Listening UDP Port For Monitoring, specify the port number.

    Optionally, you may press Enter to accept the default port number 33333.

    Note: UDP ports must be in the range of 1024 to 65535.

    A message telling you that the request was successfully completed appears.

  9. Go back to the main menu of ssoconfig and then select Manage Security Servers > List Security Servers.
  10. View the default server and verify that the roles are listed correctly based on what you typed in step 7 above.
  11. If the server has been configured correctly, you can exit the ssoconfig utility.
