Reverting to Saved Schema

The Schema Editor option, Refresh MetaData, should be used with caution. The purpose of this feature is to revert to the version of metadata that is currently in production on the server.

If you select this option, all changes you have made with Schema Editor (that is, any changes you have made for which ldif has not been imported into the LDAP server) will be permanently erased.

This feature is intended to be used as a last-resort troubleshooting tool.

  1. From the ISS admin console main menu, select Configuration->Schema Editor->Manage Schema.
  2. On the next page, click the refresh icon (Refresh MetaData) that appears just above the list of Objects.

    You will be receive an Are You Sure? prompt. Click Yes to proceed with reverting to the version of metadata that is currently in production on your server.
