Resource Management and LDAP

Resource Management is Lawson's repository for globally interesting data. Globally interesting data is typically user records and other information that is needed by many Lawson components and which does not change frequently. The data is stored in an LDAP server.(LDAP is an acronym for Lightweight Directory Access Protocol, an industry standard.)

Resource Management serves as an interface to the LDAP server. Lawson administrators interface with Resource Management, not LDAP native tools, to update the system.

All information related to users, including user IDs, passwords, identities, and all other attributes, such as email address, group affiliation, role assignments, and so on, are stored in the LDAP directory.
