What is Lawson Core Technology?

Infor Lawson Core Technology is a set of executable programs, data, data dictionaries, utilities, and libraries that perform many essential functions for the Lawson system.

Following is a brief list of the services that Infor Lawson Core Technology provides:

• Allows the user interface, Lawson applications, and the RDBMS to communicate.

• Provides access to a repository for system data required at runtime.

• Provides utilities for administrative users to manage the Lawson system.

• Through time stamps, ensures that all system components remain synchronized to protect against data corruption and/or loss.

• Provides a layer of abstraction between Lawson and the operating system so that Lawson remains unaware of platform differences among all supported operating system versions (for example, Unix platforms, Windows, and IBM i).
