Sending Data to Consumers

This chapter explains how to use Lawson applications as a provider to some widely used environments and products, including Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects, Crystal Reports, and Microsoft SQL Server.

The Infor OLE DB Object Services also enable Enterprise Reporting and Infor Lawson Reporting Services to fully integrate with Crystal Reports. The Enterprise Reporting and Infor Lawson Reporting Services documentation explains how to use Crystal as a consumer. This chapter does not provide an example of using Lawson applications as a data source (provider) to Crystal. Follow the same procedures you would use with other data sources.

The products described in this chapter as well as Enterprise Reporting and Infor Lawson Reporting Services are not the only consumers that can be used with OLE DB Object Services, but they are the resources that have been tested.

The information in this chapter provides some examples of how to use Lawson as a provider to these resources. It is assumed you have a thorough understanding of whatever resource you are using as a consumer.
