Disabling a User

This procedure describes how to disable a user. Disabling a user prevents the user from logging in but does not delete the user from the system. You can enable the user at a later time if you wish.

To disable a user

  1. From the Lawson Security Administrator User Management menu, select User Maintenance.
  2. Perform a search to locate the user you want to disable. (For example, LastName=Johnson.)
  3. Right-click on the user and select Edit RM Information.
  4. For the IsDisabled attribute, enter YES.
  5. Navigate in the Lawson Security Administrator to the Server Management section, and click Clear Cache.

When the disabled users attempt to log in, they will receive a message saying they have been disabled and are not allowed to log in.

  6. To re-enable the user, change the IsDisabled attribute to NO and clear the security cache.
