Other ways for users to access custom forms

It is common for a custom form to replace the Lawson-delivered form. "Preparing a Form for Users to Access" explains how to make a custom form you have created the default, that is, to replace the Lawson-delivered form.

There are other methods for making forms available to users, which are described in this section.

You can use Custom Page Designer to launch formlets. Formlet is the Custom Page Designer term for custom forms that are launched from within a custom page. After you create a custom form in UI Designer, you can select it as a formlet in Custom Page Designer.

You can also launch custom forms from the shortcut menu of Lawson Portal. Depending on how your system is configured, users can create their own shortcuts or Lawson Portal administrator can do it for them. This URL shows the syntax for forms in the shortcuts menu:

LAWFORM|PDL=APPS802|TKN=EE20.2|ID=GLSEE20.2

where APPS802 is the name of the data area, EE20.2 is the original form that the custom form is based on, and GLSEE20.2 is the ID of the custom form.

The "Resetting the Default Form" section contains the procedures that you might be required to perform when working with form customization.
