Tools menu

The tools menu options provide access to some software tools you might be required to use at various times when working with Design Studio.

The tools menu options are:

• API Builder: Launches the API Builder, a tool for creating API calls to retrieve data from Lawson engines. See "API Builder" for information.

• Rebuild Forms Index: To make new forms (either those you customized or downloaded) available to users, the custom form index must be rebuilt.

• Set Forms Data Area and Set Wizards Data Area: Typically, when you customize a form or create a wizard, you work on a development server rather than a production server. When you are ready to transfer the form or wizard to an area where users can access it, you must run either Set Form Data Area or Set Wizards Data Area. You might also be required to run Set Forms Data Area if you download a form from any other location, for example, Lawson's support website.
