Overview of In-Place Upgrade Process
The purpose of a 10.0.x Infor Lawson System Foundation upgrade is to upgrade a Lawson Environment from the Infor Lawson System Foundation 9.0.1.9 or greater release to the Infor Lawson System Foundation 10.0.x release. It is an upgrade-in-place process. The major portion of the upgrade is to install the 10.0.x Infor Lawson Core Technology on top of an existing 9.0.1.9 or greater Infor Lawson Core Technology Environment. The upgrade also assumes you upgrade several key third-party products to the releases required by the 10.0.x Infor Lawson System Foundation, such as the operating system and hardware, WebSphere Application Server ND, and Java. The upgrade also includes upgrading such Lawson products as Lawson Portal (former Lawson Portal) and ProcessFlow (which is replaced by Infor Process Automation).
