metaloadpgm - Program Meta Load

metaloadpgm [-l] productline path/filename.pgm | metadumpfilelist

metaloadpgm is a utility used to load application program metadata. It loads the pgmdef information from the program.pgm file created by metadumppgm. You can also use the -l option and specify a file containing a list of program metadata dump files. If you specify a path with the program metadata dump file names in the list, the path must be relative to where you run the metaloadelm command.

You can run metaloadpgm with a -u option in order to control the access rights for the programs you are loading. By default, all users have access to programs loaded via metaloadpgm. However, if you use the -u option, then only users with the same security class as the user running metaloadpgm will have access to the loaded programs.

If you are loading more than one type of metadata, you must load the types in the proper order. For information on this order, see Metadata Loading Order.

Note: Use metaloadpgm with the -c option to clean up orphan program detail records. This can only be used with a metadata deletion file containing only three lines:
TYPE:Application Program
FORMAT:8.0
KEY:PROGRAMCODE
