Lawson Portal Configuration File

The configuration file (portalconfig.xml) is for configuring global attributes called Settings. Settings affect operation of Lawson Portal as a whole. Changes made to Settings affect all users, regardless of role assignment.

In addition, administrators who do not use custom roles can edit portalconfig.xml to configure some of the Role and User Options attributes that are typically configured through Role Manager. (Installations that use custom roles must use Role Manager to configure Role and User Options.)

Changes made to Role and User Options in portalconfig.xml are merged with the Lawson-delivered user role file (default.xml) when a user logs into Lawson Portal but default.xml is never changed.

The configuration file is on the web server in: /DocumentRoot/lawson/MyLawsonPortal/portalconfig.xml. Editing this file should be performed by a trained administrator who is familiar with the Lawson system and knowledgeable about XML.
