To define a dialect

  1. Access the Language Definition utility.
    1. In a Lawson Interface Desktop (LID) session, use Form Transfer (F8).
    2. In the Form ID field on the Form Transfer form, type langdef and click the OK button or press Enter.
  2. Make sure the language the dialect belongs to has already been defined.
  3. Position the cursor on the line below the language the dialect belongs to.
  4. Press Insert (F8).
  5. Tab to the Dialect field and type the name of the dialect.
  6. Press Enter twice.
