Translating Environment Messages via the Web-based Form

Use this procedure to translate individual Environment messages on the Translations form.

To translate Environment messages via the web-based form

  1. On the Language Definition form, select the language you want to do translations for and click Translate.

    The Translations form appears with multiple columns for each type of translatable item.

  2. Click the Universe Messages tab.
  3. Locate the Environment message you want to translate. You can type one or more characters in the filter field and press Enter, and the form will show only Environment messages that contain the characters you typed. This filter is case sensitive. Click Clear All Filters to display the full list of Environment messages. You can also click the Set Page Size button to modify the number of items displayed at one time.
  4. For the Environment message you want to translate, click in the Message Translation column cell for that Environment message.

    The Universe Message Translation dialog box appears.

  5. Enter a translation.
  6. Click OK and then click Save on the Translations form.
    Note: If you exit without saving or if you click the Refresh Current Page button before saving, you will lose the translations you just entered.
