Translating a Title

Title translation lets you translate the name of the form ID title.

To translate a title

  1. On the Language Definition form, select a language other than U. S. English.
  2. Press Xlate (F6) and select Titles.
  3. On the Title Translation form, select the Title Translation field next to the title to be translated and type your translation of the title.

    For example, use this field to change "Employee Maintenance" to "Associate Maintenance."

    If the Title Translation form does not have enough space to display the translation of the title, press Define (F6) to use the Extended Title Translation subform.

    1. Type the extended translation for the title.
    2. Press Enter.

      The Extended Title Translation subform closes. If the extended translation is longer than the Title Translation form can display, a right arrow appears at the end of the field to indicate that an extended translation is defined.

  4. Press Enter twice to save the translations.

    The Language Definition form returns.
