Creating endpoint groups

Infor Lawson uses the term "endpoint group" to represent all servers that participate in a particular network. Part of the configuration process is determining the network boundary of each server by assigning it to an endpoint group.

In this procedure, you will create the endpoint groups.

  1. If you are currently running the ssoconfig utility, continue with step 2.

    Or

If you are not currently running the ssoconfig utility:

    1. From a command prompt, type

      ssoconfig -c

    2. At the prompt, type the password for the ssoconfig utility.
  2. From the main menu, choose "10, Manage Lawson HTTP Endpoint Groups."
  3. At the submenu that appears, choose "1, Add New HTTP Endpoint Group."
  4. Create the first endpoint group.

At the prompt, "Lawson HTTP Endpoint Group Name," type a name for the group and then press Enter.

Choose a name that will help you remember its use when you add endpoints to the group. For example, for a group of endpoints (servers) outside the firewall, you could use the name "External" for the group.

  5. Create additional endpoint groups as described in step 4.

Create as many as needed per the number of endpoints (servers) in the network and assign names that will help you to remember its use.

You are now ready to assign endpoints to groups.

  6. Press "8, Back" to return to the main menu or "9, Exit" to exit the ssoconfig utility.
