Changing Environment Variables with LAWENVM

Use this procedure to change the value of the environment variables for each Infor Lawson Environment.

Note: The LAWENVM program edits the etc/lawson.env file. Do not use a text editor to modify this file. Only use the LAWENVM program to make changes to the environment variables.

To change environment variables with LAWENVM

  1. If you installed Infor Lawson Core Technology on an IASP, at the IBM i command prompt, specify

    SETASPGRP IASPName

  2. At the IBM i command line, specify

    CALL LAWENVM

  3. Specify the number representing the release level of the Environment whose variables you want to modify, and press Enter.
  4. Inquire on the Environment whose variables you want to modify.
  5. Specify "C" (for Change) in the form action field.
  6. Press Directory Paths (F6).
  7. Make changes to the environment variables. Be sure to make the changes to the correct Environment. Settings for all Environments are included in the lawson.env file.
  8. Press Save (F2) and then Exit (F3).
