To define a job

  1. In Lawson Portal, access the batch parameter form for the batch update or report program that you want to run.
  2. Enter values in the Job Name and Job Description fields.
  3. Define the job parameters by entering values in the parameter fields.
    Note: For information about specific job parameters, see the appropriate application user guide.
  4. Click Add. (If you receive a message saying the job already exists, click Change instead of Add, or change the job name to one that does not already exist and then click Add.)
  5. Optional. Set up the print information. (For more information on viewing and printing reports, see Viewing Reports and Printing a Report.)
    1. Click Reports.

      The Report Properties form appears.

    2. Type or select values for the following fields
      Reports

      The file for the report you want to print.

      Destination

      The type of print destination: Print Manager, distribution group, or printer. If you select Distribution Group or Printer, you then can select the specific printer or group in the Group Name or Printer Name field.

      Copies

      The number of copies you want to print.

      Save to Print Manager

      Select this check box to send the report to the Print Manager as well as the printer.

      File Path

      The location to save the .prt file.

      File Name

      The file name to save the report as.

    3. On the Report Properties form, click OK.
    4. Click Change on the parameter form to update the job definition record.
