Menus

Infor Lawson supplies menus in order to provide users with easy access to application and Environment programs. Each menu is a list of related programs. For example, there is a menu for the Human Resources programs and there is a menu for the program development tools. You can develop additional menus--such as a personal menu for a user that lists only the programs that user has access to. For more information on menus, see Lawson Administration: Server Setup and Maintenance.

  1. Access the Environment menu that lists the program or utility you want. For example, from an application program, you can press Form Transfer (F8), select the Menu tab, type the name of the menu, and press Enter.
Note: If you use a UNIX or Windows server, you can also access a menu from the command line. At the command line, type the name of the menu (for example, laenv) and press Enter.
  2. On the menu, highlight the item you want.
  3. If you are in graphical user interface mode, click Select or press Enter. If you are in character-based interface mode, press Enter.

If the item you highlighted is a program, that program's initial form will appear. If the item you selected is a category or grouping of programs within the menu, the programs or other groupings within that category or grouping will appear. You can then select the next menu item you want.
