Introduction to Form Rules and Object Rules
Form and object rules determine how application programs access data through the Select and Drill Around functions.
Form rules define data access by the Select (F4) function key or button and the Drill Around (F5) function key or button. Form rules also work with key numbers to define how data appears on the form when one field is specified, and specify data needed for transaction processing that does not appear on the form.
Object rules define which data files and records are accessed by the Drill Around feature.
