Program Development Processes

The following procedures provide an overview of how to create a new program or modify an existing program. For creating a new program, two procedures are provided: one that use the copy function within Program Definition utility (pgmdef) and one that involves copying the source code directly.

Note: If developers are working in environments where Lawson Security is on (such as when using the Quick Paint feature in a production environment in order to make ad-hoc inquiry or update programs), the developers must be granted the appropriate access through Lawson Security.
