Uninstalling the Bouncy Castle JAR

Use the steps to uninstall the new Bouncy Castle JAR file.

  1. With the Lawson system running, turn Security off.

    lsconfig -c <ssoconfig password> OFF

Note: Ensure your user community is restricted from accessing Lawson Portal and/or LID while the Lawson security is turned off.
  2. Stop WebSphere. This includes all application servers and clusters, nodes and the Deployment Manager.
  3. Stop all Infor Lawson System Foundation environments.
Note: If you have multiple environments on one machine, you will need to stop all of them.
  4. Stop all third-party applications that are using the JDK under JAVA_HOME.
Note: This includes applications not associated with Infor Lawson System Foundation and Infor Lawson products.

Infor Lawson System Foundation and WebSphere use the same JDK.

  5. Back up and remove all Bouncy Castle provider JAR files (bcprov*.jar) under:
    JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/ext
Note: If you need to revert to an earlier version of Java, you will need to reconfigure Bouncy Castle encryption. See the instructions in Configuring Java Encryption.
  6. Back up all java.security files under:
    • /QIBM/userdata/WebSphere/AppServer/V85/ND/profiles/ProfileName/properties

Where ProfileName is the name of the profile created to run Lawson.

    • JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/security
Note: Do not remove the java.security files.
