System Requirements for LCT 10.0.x (10.0.11.0)

Infor Lawson Server Requirements: IBM i

IBM i	See the Compatibility Matrix on Infor Concierge for supported versions.	Starting from V7.4 and later, these environment variables must be set: QIBM_PASE_CCSID PASE_LANG See Set environment variables.
Java SDK	For V7.3: Product 5770JV1, Option 15.	Make sure you are on the latest group PTF.
XML Toolkit	Product 5733XT2, Option 6	Obtained from IBM. See installation instructions provided by IBM. No additional configuration is required for Infor Lawson.
IBM i Portable Application Solutions Environment (PASE)	Product ID 5770SS1 Option 33	This component provides a subset of the AIX runtime libraries on the IBM i.
RPGLE compiler	Product ID 5770WDS Option 31 Compiler	The compilers are included in the WebSphere Development Studio as individual options.
Perl	See the Infor Lawson Compatibility Matrix for details about Perl version requirements.	The Infor Lawson system and the installation tools use this program. See Verifying System Requirements
Application server	See the Compatibility Matrix on Infor Concierge for supported versions.	Note: Starting with IBM WAS ND 8.5.5 fix pack 18, fix packs are available for downloading on the product download page on the Infor Concierge. The latest group PTFs are available from IBM. Note: When updating WebSphere with a fix pack be sure to include the update for the corresponding fix pack level of Java or unpredictable results may occur. These two separate downloads are co-requisites and need to be installed together. Note: For a new IBM WAS ND 8.5.5 installation on IBM i 7.3, use the IBM WAS ND 8.5.5.9 for IBM i on the product download page on the Infor Concierge.
Relational Database Management System (RDBMS)	IBM DB2 with the latest group PTF	This product is delivered with your operating system.

Infor Distributed Security Package (DSP) Requirements

Verify whether you need to upgrade your DSP version for use with the version of LSF you are installing.

LDAP Server Requirements

AD LDS must be installed on a remote Windows server. If your LDAP will be on IBM i, use the version of Directory Server delivered with your operating system. See Setting up the LDAP.

Web Server Requirements

The Java SDK version must be the same for all Infor Lawson and third party components in the system. Note: If you updated your Java with the latest IBM J9 VM updates, you must install or update to 10.0.11 CU6 or later. You can find additional information in KB 2193590.
Web Server	IBM HTTP Server powered by Apache (as a local or remote web server on IBM i) Product ID 5770DG1 with the latest group PTF See the Compatibility Matrix on Infor Concierge for supported versions.	See Setting up WebSphere.

Desktop Computer Requirements

XWindows	Any XWindows that supports your version of the Java SDK, such as Cygwin	XWindows is required to run the installation program in GUI mode.
Web browser	See the Compatibility Matrix on Infor Concierge for supported browsers and versions.	Required for smoke testing.
LDAP browser	Any LDAP browser	Infor recommends that you have an LDAP browser installed to connect to the LDAP for verification purposes.
Infor Lawson Interface Desktop (LID)	See the Compatibility Matrix on Infor Concierge for supported versions.	Provides a command line interface to the Infor Lawson system. Used for initial system setup and verification.

Optional Third Party Component

IBM MQ	See the Compatibility Matrix on Infor Concierge for supported versions.	IBM MQ is an optional message-oriented middleware component for customers licensed for Infor Process Automation. IBM MQ can be installed on the Infor Lawson server or on a remote server. Infor Lawson supports 32-bit IBM MQ, which runs on a 32-bit or 64-bit Windows machine. This product is bundled with Infor Lawson System Foundation and is available from Infor Concierge. Use IBM documentation to install IBM MQ.

Required Cumulative PTF Package

Infor Lawson requires the latest IBM Cumulative PTF package. Obtain this package from IBM.
