Granting User Access to Infor OS Portal (or Infor Ming.le) Applications

Use this procedure to set up user or group access to Infor Lawson applications.

Note:

This procedure applies to configurations using Kerberos and STS.

  • Kerberos: Users or groups must exist in the Active Directory instance for your SharePoint server.

  • STS: Users or roles must exist in Infor Lawson System Foundation or Infor Landmark Technology resource repository.

Note:

You will need to complete these steps for each plugin you are installing.

Grant user access

  1. Log in to Infor OS Portal (or Infor Ming.le) as a Site Administrator. Typically, this is the user spinstall.
  2. From the toolbar menu, select SiteActions > SitePermissions. Available groups are listed.
  3. Click the SharePoint group to which you want to assign access to the user and then click Add Users/ Add Users to this Group. (In the example the group is "Lawson S3.")
  4. For Kerberos, perform a search for the domain user or group.

For STS, perform a search for the user or role.

  5. Select the user or group you want to assign and click Add.
  6. Test the assignment by verifying that a regular user (not a security administrator) who has the role assigned can access the site.
  7. Repeat these instructions to add users to all of the plug-ins you are installing.
