Adding a Printer Group

  1. On the Printer Group Definitions form, click Add from the tool bar.

    This makes the Printer Group, Description, and other fields eligible for input.

  2. Specify the following details:
    Field or option Description
    Printer Group

    A required field; specifies the assigned printer group name.

    This field accepts alpha and numeric characters, with a maximum of 10 characters in length.

    Description

    An optional field for additional printer group information.

    This field accepts alpha and numeric characters, with a maximum length of 30 characters.

    Member Type

    A required option; specifies if the item being added is a Printer or a Group.

    Printer type is the list of existing Printers in the system, which can be viewed in Member Name list.

    Group type enables you to see the list of existing Printer Group, which can be viewed in Member Name list.

    To add a new Printer Group, you must select Printer as Member Type.

    Member Name

    A required option; specifies the printer name to be added in the group.

    To add member to the new Printer Group, select the printer name in the Member Name list, and then click Add Member .

    Note: Printer Group must be saved with members.
  3. Click Save from the tool bar.

    The new Printer Group will be displayed in the Printer Groups list.
