Tax Reporting
The Oman Fawtara Self-Billing Invoice service supports the electronic reporting of self-billing transactions in compliance with the Oman Tax Authority (OTA) e-invoicing initiative. Under a self-billing arrangement, the buyer generates the invoice on behalf of the supplier, usually for specific business scenarios such as imports, procurement agreements, or other approved commercial transactions.
As part of the Fawtara framework, these documents must be exchanged and reported electronically through accredited service providers to ensure tax compliance, transparency, and standardized invoice processing. The service enables organizations to generate, validate, and submit self-billing invoices and self-billing credit notes in the format required by the OTA, helping businesses meet regulatory obligations while automating invoice exchange and tax reporting processes.
