eTransport

In Mexico, the eTransport service is a required electronic document for taxpayers who transport goods and merchandise in Mexico. The Servicio de Administración Tributaria (SAT) requires the eTransport document. The eTransport document must accompany any CFDI (Comprobante Fiscal Digital por Internet) for transportation services or the transfer of goods. The document relates goods or merchandise to the origin, intermediate points, and destination. The document also includes the transportation method, such as land transportation on federal highways or railways, air transportation, maritime transportation, or river transportation. The document also covers the transfer of hydrocarbons and petroleum products.
